For those of us in the northern hemisphere, Winter has come. This time of year, it can be fun to snow on your website, so I've posted an updated article on how to do just that in the CE4 wiki. You can see the script running on the Campagna Pictures blog (which reminds me, I need to start blogging more at Campagna Pictures in the new year).
There are several nice things happening in this updated script compared to last year's version. The effect can be CPU intensive, so it will attempt to use GPU-based hardware acceleration to draw and animate the snow when it can, and it does not run on mobile by default, saving performance and battery life for mobile users.
My example PHPlugins function runs only over CE4 Auto Index, CE4 Pages and CE4 Theme for WordPress, but not on the CE4 Pages Home page, so as not to bog down galleries, but you can modify the conditions to run the script wherever you'd like.
