The following maintenance updates are now available:

  • CE3 Auto Index 5.1.5
  • CE3 Client Response Gallery 5.1.5
  • CE3 Gallery 5.2.2
  • CE3 Pages 6.1.6
  • CE3 Stage 5.1.5
  • CE3 Theme for WordPress 2.1.3

There are good things happening this time! General improvements abound, and you can hit the changelogs in the wiki for itemized lists of changes. But here are some of the highlights.

Galleria JS updated to 1.3.2

The gallery script has been updated for Pages, Stage and Theme for WordPress. Galleria 1.3.2 brings improved support for touch interfaces, including more natural interaction and improved animations. This should help your slideshows to feel even better on mobile devices.

PhotoSwipe updated

I have received word from Code Computerlove, creators of PhotoSwipe JS, that they are officially no longer maintaining or supporting the script. It's sad, but I will now be maintaining PhotoSwipe myself, to the best of my ability, for implementation in TTG plugins. So it's maybe not as sad as it could be.

PhotoSwipe worked perfectly under Android 4.2.2 and a previous version of Chrome mobile, but having updated to Android 4.3 and Mobile Chrome 30.0.1599.92, we have observed a problem wherein swipe gestures would fail to navigate images in the PhotoSwipe presentation. This problem is now fixed in Client Response Gallery, Gallery, Pages, Stage and Theme for WordPress.

Having investigated the issue, I have determined that the cause is a bug in either Android or Mobile Chrome, introduced by Google's developers; it is not a problem inherent to PhotoSwipe. But having identified the problem, I have been able to write a workaround for the bug into the script, restoring functionality on affected devices.

Additionally, in Mobile Safari on iOS7, the bottom portion of the browser is no longer a Web-interactive area. Tapping low on the screen now recalls the hidden browser UI, rather than interacting with buttons and links on the web page. This is inconvenient for galleries, so I've locked gallery navigation buttons to the top of the PhotoSwipe view and removed the option to swap the positions of controls and captions. This is to prevent users from unwittingly creating a UI conflict between PhotoSwipe and Mobile Safari.

And I've pulled several additional improvements from commits on Github, strengthening PhotoSwipe's behavior on Retina and other HiDPI displays, and its behavior on hybrid mouse/touch devices.

Social Media Improvements

I've strengthened our implementation of social media Share buttons. They should now work as intended in a wider array of contexts, and the Tweet button is now available on mobile (previously, was hidden for various reasons).

CRG Repaired

In the Client Response Gallery, I've fixed a weird, nasty bug wherein the form would fail to respond under very specific conditions, rendering the gallery essentially useless. This bug has not been widespread -- reported by only two users -- but those two users should now be very happy, and it should not be rearing its weird, nasty head in the future.

Get the Updates

As usual, email notifications have been dispatched containing download links for your relevant orders. Or you can lookup your downloads by number from the sidebar of this page.

If using the "Get Shared Resources from CE3 Pages" option in your setup, be sure to update CE3 Pages first, then your galleries.

Remember the Shopping Cart!

And a reminder, we unleashed a major feature update for CE3 Cart last week. Be sure to check out what's new!
